i am trying to find out if there is any difference between the chassis on the 64 impala coupe compaired to the convertiable or are they the same chassis. i am in australia and there are not many of either over here.

The convertible frame has 4 more body mounts plus several extra metal strips welded to the frame for extra stiffness. You can use a convertible frame on a non-convertible body and just ignore the exrta mounts, but don't mount a convertible body on a non-convertible frame.
