children growth and balance
Dearest Empress, What is the best way to keep our children nutured while they are growing and having dramatic changes. Is there a way to help balance some of this out? Chris in Naples |

First you need to know what their birth element is. This is important, because we support an 'earth' child much differently than we support a 'water' child. But, here are some basics for all children...first, no electronics in their bedrooms. Do everything in your power to keep bedrooms for sleeping and getting dressed. All other activity should take place somewhere else in the house. This ensures they are rested, and much more peaceful. Second, try to keep their bedrooms as yin as possible. No scary posters, no toys, solid colored sheets, relaxing curtains, etc. The simpler, the better. Third, honor the dining table. Make sure that this is where the family eats together (WITHOUT the TV on!!). Place beautiful flowers there, or a fruit basket, or a nice centerpiece.
