NEWHL Fall League
Has this started and what is the caliber of play? Are there full teams or is it similar to the spring and summer league. |

I believe it starts this coming weekend. I would expect it will be as good as the summer league, which featured a lot of prep players as well. |

We sent in our registration but have heard nothing. Is this customary? It seems to be the norm for all we have signed up for with this group. |

Yes, we are always calling at the last minute. We too wish it wasn't that way. But, enough people have a tendancy to sign up at the last minute. So, we are usually left with no choice. This program is for Sunday afternoons. Wilmington or Andover. |

So, if we sent in registration and have not heard anything it is safe to assume we did not get in since it already started?? |

About what you would expect of talented prep and public players; good, competitive hockey. The Islanders topped the NEWHL girls 4-1 yesterday, and seemed to carry the play. |

I have not heard much of anything about the NEWHL fall league. Is it as strong as the spring and summer leagues and are there full teams that have entered? |

I think the league was a little late in getting started, so it doesn't have the numbers of teams you would hope for. The girls are playing, having a good time, and the games are high level. I think that come this time next year, with more lead time for recruiting, you will see a much higher degree of participation from teams. I've also heard that there will be a tourney team (or two) from the NEWHL that will compete at the Cranberry and Polar Bears, and is looking to participate in the NAHA Labor Day tourney too. |
