Hi
Just wondering if anyone could possibly tell me is there a service where you can gain professional medical advice regarding birth decisions.
My situation is a long story but I'll try and shorten it. This is my 2nd pregnancy. My first was delivered by c-section due to him being breech and I had a low fluid level so the c-section was booked 3 weeks early, the day before the procedure my waters actaully broke and I went into labour having a semi-emergancy c-section.
With my new pregnancy, I have a new obstetrician whom has found fluid between my cervics and uterus and told me that this is not normal and that he would not be prepared to do a V-BAC. He recommended that I get a 2nd opinion from King Edward and so far they are willing to complete a VBAC.
My other issues are that I'm also having huge amounts for pain from my ligaments and sometimes I can't move out of bed. I do get physio and are now on crutches to try and give my pelvis a break.
I really don't know what to do - do / can I try for the VBAC or am I going to have more problems for trying this and am I better off to just have the c-section which I am totally scared of reentering this experience. I did so much research during this pregnancy regarding VBAC. On one hand I feel that I was so committed to doing the VBAC I just feel that I have lost total control again and am so upset that again I will not get to experience the natural delivery. And on my other hand I just want to be safe and not risk further complications and injury to myself or the baby.
Appreciate any help.
