HI, I've just had a c-section 5 weeks ago. I can relate to your feelings of being really scared. My fear was being cut open!I took the epidural...made one of the nurses hold my hand because I would jerk when he placed the needle on the back. You can expect the room to be on the cold side, I guess that was partially why I was trembling. The drug kicked in and all I cared about was being numb to any possible pain. After that I didn't feel anything but a little tugging.I didn't even know when they made the incision. After seeing my daughter..I thought...wow! This is not bad at all! As long as I took pain medicine on time, I glided through it.General discomforts: cramps and gas, heaviness and numbness around the incision. Very important to have people help you at the beginning weeks.Don't be too scared..
It's all about trusting the doctors skill.
Goodluck
