CD VS.LASER DISC

The hand held devise that came with the Laser Disc System made a difference years ago over how one played the game then.[

Re: CD VS.LASER DISC

However, the game intended the contestant to follow it`s path by having a card appear on the TV screen which told to apply certain numbers onto the controler which would then take the contestant to the next chapter in order. By not following and or not allowing the game to control the contestant and letting the laser disc run out on it`s own course. The letters which were usually found in the begining of each chapter and made no sence prior to following the rules of the game/controler now those same letters could be viewed to make more sence by just setting back and watching what really could be happening then and or within beyond what had already taken place and been treasured long ago.

Re: CD VS. LASER DISC

Letting the laser disc run it`s own course and writing down the letter of each chapter appeared as the following:
" LETTERSCOUNTBUTNOTHER " one may imagine that there is a letter that might be missing however by adding such it would then seem there would have to be 22 chapters instead of just the 21 that appears in all 3 formats Book, VHS, Laser Disc )

Re: CED VS.LASER DISC

There is a trailing "E" after the final chapter but before the credits. There was also an underscored N and an underscored O amongst these letters.

Re: CD VS.LASER DISC

So what does that mean ?

LETTERS COUNT BUT NOT HERE ?

It's obviously a riddle... but what can this refer to ? Where don't letters count ?

Re: CD VS.LASER DISC

The fist letter of each chapter in the book version
is TIGNORESTATESHAPESATA. I don't have the cd or laser disc version but I noticed the only letter that matches in numerical order is the R.
TIGNORESTATESHAPESATA
LETTERSCOUNTBUTNOTHER
Could this mean NO LETTERS COUNT BUT R???
Probabably not. But thier is something funny about these messages.

Re: Re: CD VS.LASER DISC

Yeah,
Okay I see what you are getting at, but what may discount the following...? It could also mean...

LETTERS COUNT BUT NOt THE R

LETTERS COUNT BUT NOT H & E & R
LETTERS COUNT, BUT No OTHER (if I insert an o)
LETTERS COUNT, BUT NOT HERE (with the trailing E)
LETTERS COUNT, BUT NOt THERE (inserting a t)

You can probably get more on this wordplay...

Re: CD VS.LASER DISC

I'd be careful about these clues, as it looks to me like whoever authored the DVD version added their own cyphers:

NOT PYR CROT CODY RT ECIN (nice try dr crypton)
PLEASE IGNORE *** CLUE

That page claims all images are ACTUAL FRAME GRABS from the DVD, so the above "knot" image was apparently added.

Certainly letters encoded in the laserdisc could have been included in the VCR version...
