Dec.2003
I had met with Mike Dooling at a resturant in CT. and at that time we discussed/traded stories and some ideas about the puzzle however I`m not possitive any more whether it was Mike whom mentioned something about a swingset or had I read it somewhere else. I also had read Mike`s solution way back years ago, again I must say that my memory seems to recall somethings written then does not appear in this previously written one yet only some one whom may have the original could reprint it here to compare the truth otherwise I feel that Mike`s solution has been doctored from it`s original state(s) presentation over the years and no longer holds that much value pertaing to the swing of things still out there to be found, on, above or below the ground.

Dear Braveghost I enjoyed having lunch with you at the diner in Newtown a few years back. That day, we did discuss the swing set incident. One Treasure hunter had gotten to northwestern Connecticut through interpretation of clues and was excavating about two feet down underneath a swing set in a public playground – I think in Salisbury. It made the newspapers and television news around the state. Needless to say, he didn’t find anything there. Regarding my re-posting of the web site with my research. ALL the information from the original is still there. You are very astute in noting some changes: 1) The format is different since I tacked it onto my business web site – it is one long page instead of multiple pages; I also changed the background, some colors, font sizes, added images of the golden horse; 2) I re-wrote a few sentences that were awkwardly written in the original; 3) I replaced a poor image of a map of the Connecticut coast and Long Island with a Google Earth map; and 4) I added a small amount of new material for clarification purposes – where I used colored letters in the credits of the movie in the boxes along the edge of the map – I included the list of the letters with the corresponding colors of each letter. I did this in case anyone wanted to play with the idea of letter color and its meaning. Those are the changes so far. I may go back to my notes and add some more information in the future. Whether it still has value is up to the individual reader. I only present it as our approach to the puzzle. Others approached it from a totally different direction. Happy hunting! |

Thanks for the reply Mike. My mind is not as captivating to the puzzle/Treasure as I once was yet there are those times mainly less than offend I find myself returning to the forum reading what appears to be still on going but going nowhere. However now that you have finally chosen to re-add your theroies/solution maybe some one can compress something together that might create a clearer picture by picturing one side by side.

That's me in the corner(Lakeville, CT)...that's me in the spotlight(TV-newspapers). Contrary to your beliefs, I did discover something very valuable; I needed to avoid the media. I found and went to the correct location in 1988, Seth Haley Elementary in West Haven, CT ("SHE would not help search...") |
