Kitty Hawk in Bremerton; DECOM preps, info

Shipmates,
Kitty Hawk's been in Bremerton for a week, and for those who rode her up here, you almost wouldn't recognize her today. We've literally been shutting down spaces left and right and the hours have been, and will continue to be, very long. We've also moved all "offices" off the ship, and are now working on the barge across the pier, so we had to move our computers across, meaning lost "e-mail" time. That's not necessarily a bad thing ... as leadership by e-mail is not a good thing -- getting out and seeing your Sailors at work is!
For the "last ride" participants, I will be e-mailing Charlie Peterson the group photos we shot either this afternoon or tomorrow, and hopefully he'll get them on the Web site quickly. Or at least quicker than I sent them to him ...

Decommissioning
We've updated our Web page with some decommissioning information (nothing new ... it's still planned for the end of January) and have a link for those who want information about the ceremony.

HOWEVER, IF YOU ARE A KITTY HAWK VETERANS ASSOCIATION MEMBER, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FILL OUT AND SEND THIS FORM. I already have your contact information.

We have not been told how many guests each former crewmember will be allowed to bring, and once we have that information, we will ensure that everyone knows.

There also may be the possibility of tours the day/days before the ceremony, as we expect to be towed out of the shipyard before the ceremony. However, nothing is in stone. Once we know for sure I will ensure that everyone is notified.
