Dear Kitty Hawk Veterans Association
The 5 days, 6 nights aboard the USS Kitty Hawk with you fellow sailors, approximately 67 of you, from San Diego to Bremerton, was one of the highlites of my life. The crew led by Captain Zecchin, Chief Chudy and the XO, gave us all an instant replay of our youthful days aboard the famous Carrier "USS KITTY HAWK"!!! It was certainly a look back! As for me, I was humbled by the event. I felt I was representing all V-1 Division 63-67 for 5 days. As we all ate in the officers mess, I looked closely at most of you and what I saw was "history in the making". I felt you all were in almost disbelief it was even happening. The crew of the Kitty Hawk treated us like KINGS. I, forever will be proud to have served aboard "her" 2 times. Once 63-67 and once in 2008, the "LAST RIDE"!!
