I had one of the most fantastic times of my life. Thanks to everyone on board from the CO on down that made this possible. Suggestion: Those of you that made the trip, contact your local newspaper, or even TV station, to see if they want to do a human interest story on you and the Hawk. Primarily for the Hawk. We need publicity for the association. I think I heard Jerry Warren say the almost a quater of a million people had cycled through the Hawk. That is a lot of potential members. But we can't reach them if they don't know about us.
I didn't make the last cruise but I did Email the Houston Chronicle. I didn't get a reply yet but Mr. Shuit, you're probably right. Like myself I just came aware of the Association a few months ago and believe a great many do not know of this association.
I just happened to stumble across it through Military.Com. Does anyone know if a roster of Past Crewmwmbers and their last known address could be made available to the current Assoc. Members so maybe we can make an effort to find and possibly recruit these folks. Also make them aware of the decommissioning.
