Help Sam Rasoul in VA defeat Goodlatte
As you may know, the 6th District in Virginia has long been represented by Republican Congressman Bob Goodlatte, who until 2006 was the chairman of the U.S. House Committee on Agriculture. In that capacity, he repeatedly held back the American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act from being brought to the full House for a vote. As ranking minority member of that committee, Goodlatte is still actively working to defeat the AHSPA (HR 503/S 311). If you would like to see Goodlatte unseated, now's your chance to donate to/vote for a super young man, Sam Rasoul, the official Democratic candidate in the 6th District. I live in a different state and am not related to or even a friend of Sam, but I think he'd be a great alternative to the incumbent, which is why I'm mentioning him here. Thanks!

It is very important for Sam Rasoul to defeat Goodlatte. Goodlatte has been a great influence in keeping horse slaughter alive in this country. I often wonder why. |
