I have been tracking the plight of the Black Farmer for several years and would like to help. I would very much like to meet with any organic farmers in the MD/DC/VA/NC Region so I can understand there needs and how we can assist and possibliy partner with a farmer. It is so refreshing to see that there are other people sharing the same interest in organic farming. I will be looking forward to networking with farmers and land owners who want to expand their market.

Ditto. Farmers need markets now. A big piece is the transportation costs. If we can pool our resources then all will benefit.

Re: Looking to Partner with African-Americian Organic Farmers in the MD/DC/VA/NC Region

Hello, I am in the early stages of a agricultural/reforestation project in Lesotho Africa. The basics of the project are to get African-American farmers to move to Lesotho where they would receive free lands on longterm lease from the Lesotho government. There will be many more incentives for the move as well. And the Farmers will keep all the profits.
The plans go much deeper than just this but I would like to get some feedback when anyone gets a chance.

Thank You, Kevin Cannell
