Buzz Sessions

I still cannot understand why people are going to these pro-"HORRahs" mini-rallies. All this company has done since they took us over (literally) was take, take, take, and take some more. Well, now with ANOTHER impending benefit change, it seems like they're taking again.
Let's see now- benefit changes (with premiums on the rise again), minimal pay raises, layoffs, proposed hour and twenties, proposed one-switch-per-every-TWO-weeks, and fudged CSA scores (can't understand how we could get $200.00, minus taxes, for a couple of years now, yet all of a sudden not do as well?), just to name a VERY few.
Oh, and let's not forget the books that our supervisors have received about making an unhappy employee happy, all the while making them attend a three-hour meeting on the subject.
After all "HORRahs" has done for us, and they want us to attend "feel-good" sessions? Rah-rah "HORRahs", rah-rah.

Re: Buzz Sessions

Has anyone noticed that Pit Managers are going out of their way to say "Good-night and what a great job you did"? They read the "BOOK" and Corporate wants them to say this to "US"!
Hello, Didn't we already have that common courtesy towards one another? We, our fellow employees, were a family! We grew up together! Most of us spent more time together than with our own family's!
Now, "The Book" is telling supervisor's how to react to "OUR" needs?
Spotlights...Employee's that have been at Caesars for 15 years are now under attack for being who they are.I.E. kind individuals, soft spoken, mind their own business! But, because they don't act like puppets, they are put on a 90 day probationary period, unable to receive their 3% raise until they fulfill their mandatory quota!
We, the dealers, must unite and stand up for our rights as individuals!!!
We are not circus monkeys! "WE" did not drink the kool-aid! Nor do we want to, we are who we are!! Whether corporate likes it or not!
CAESARS DEALERS RULE!!!!!!!!
Never attended a Buzz Session and never will!!!

Let's stay "UNITED" and Make a stand for "ONE ANOTHER"

Re: Buzz Sessions

Did you guys ever see where the TOTAL REWARDS people do their Buzz sessions? They have a smiley face on the floor with a boom-box playing happy songs. Is this "Romper Room"? I would love to see Gary Loveman, or even Dan Nita for that matter, stand on a happy face and dance while being in pit 2 for at least an hour, let alone 8. (Pit 2 is our gas chamber, the condensed smoking area of Caesars.)

Re: Buzz Sessions

How can you be happy when they are now asking for our floorpeople to take a buyout? They are laying off people today and I thought they said there would be layoffs if the smoking ban went into affect. The smoking ban has nothing to do with it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Layoffs before the ban.

Re: Re: Buzz Sessions

I have been saying this for weeks. We MUST get the dealers @ Bally's & Caesar's to STOP GOING TO BUZZ SESSIONS! This sends a clear message to Harrahs that we are FED UP with what's going on. They continue to stall with the UAW, the toke rate at Bally's is disgraceful, and now another year of smoke! Let's show them that we're tired of hearing HAPPY HARRAHS BULL CRAP! Let's not pretend that things are great when in reality things REALLY SUCK! Let's all get together on this & BOYCOTT ALL BUZZ SESSIONS! They're not mandatory & if they really want us there - Let them pay us to hear their BULL CRAP! If questioned by management why you're not attending simply state NO CONTRACT - NO BUZZ SESSION in an upbeat & postive manner!
