It wasn't the rod that connects the two throttles but the twisted cable that goes from the rear throttle to the carb. I believe that the problem was caused from the keeper on the end of the cable ( with the two tiny allan screws ) not turning free. After repairing it I could see it was flexing the cable slightly each time it was fully opened. A drop of oil seams to have cured the problem and would have possibly preventer it.
And yes I am planning to take the buss with the camper caravan to Oshkosh. I guess you will fly.See you Sat. at the meeting. B.D. |
