Transplant patients - Can you help?

Can you help?

Have you had a kidney transplant?
Are you willing to give one hour of your time?

MA Research Project: Renal Patients’ Experience of Preparation for and Recovery from Transplant

This research aims to increase awareness and understanding among counsellors and professional carers of what it is like to have a kidney transplant, for the benefit of current and future transplant patients.

If you have had a kidney transplant (from either a cadaveric or living donor), are 18 or over, and are willing to take part in this research do contact me. It may help to know that I’ve had a kidney transplant as well.

You’ll be asked to tell me about your transplant experience in a taped interview which will take about an hour. We’ll arrange a mutually convenient place to meet. The information you give will be treated confidentially and your identity will be protected at all times.

Contact me at pennyamerena@yahoo.com and I’ll answer any questions you may have about taking part.

This MA Research project in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy is bound by the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy Code of Ethics for Research. The research is supervised by Patti Wallace, Assistant Dean in the School of Human and Life Sciences, Roehampton University.
