Dr Hailu's deeds speak for the majority of Tigrayans
At last Elias is emerging from the darkness of his outmoded ethnic prejudice about one of the truly Ethiopian nationalities in our country...our fellow Tigrean brothers. Tigrayans have been at the fore front of the struggle to keep a united firm country at peace with itself and its neighbours. One just needs to look back in history and examine the records of Emperor Yohannes , Ras Alula Aba Nega, and many more. Elias's posting of renowned linguist and politician DR Hailu Araya only serves to prove the true nature of Tigrayans and their deep sense of identity as Ethiopians. High time we all recognised that and silenced the uncalled for remarks of tribalist cricitcs who continue to relegate these proud Ethiopians into mere traitors and collaborators of an infamous regime...an allegtaion that exists only in the minds of a tiny minority of despicable nationalists. |
