AFD’s Letter to United Nation: Article 39 in action

AFD’s Letter to United Nation: Article 39 in action

Reliable source informed me that AFD have drafted a letter it would like to send to the United Nation as soon as it seizes power. The letter titled "solution for the crisis of Ethiopian empire" is in its draft form and seeking support of AFD member organization. Apparently, the letter creates three new countries and seeks recognition. Those are Oromia Republic, Republic of Ogaden and Republic of Abyssian. AFD circulated the draft letter to its key members. It has been learned that Ato Anddargachew Tsige have received the letter on behalf of kinijit but kept it to himself because of fear of backlash.

If anyone had access to or come across the said letter, please post it in this forum and other websites. Please let the Ethiopian people know the biggest ever conspiracy to destroy Ethiopia.

Ethiopia Will Prevail!
God save bless Ethiopia from those monsters!

I am serious. I have been informed by a reliable source with close contact to OLF. OLF is finishing a ground work for their ethnic republic. Apparently the letter was drafted and circulated to AFD officals. I am trying if it can be accessed. Whoever gets access must make it public as soon as possible.

I will do my best to obtain draft letter and I will make it public as soon I get it. I think this must be everyone's task to get this letter and expose AFD. AFD may file it where it cannot be reached. But no matter what we must try to it.

For those of us who have been and are following the series of political events in the horn, it is crystal clear where Ethiopia, under the inferior TPLF, is heading to. If AFD is to prepare a recognition letter to UN there is no surprise there. It is all the works of Shabiya and all the faults of the rats of dedebit from Mekelle.

Re: AFD’s Letter to United Nation: Article 39 in action

Abet Abet Wushet!!! Those who beleive this must be too foolish.

Logic dictates that you should think that there are a lot of steps to be taken before a new country requests recognition.

If this is the work of article 39, I am afraid what the constitution that are against is really talks about. Here are SOME of the steps before requesting a U.N recognition:
(4) The right to self-determination, including secession, of every Nation, Nationality and People shall come into effect:
(a) When a demand for secession has been approved by a two-thirds majority of the members of the Legislative Council of the Nation, Nationality or People concerned;
(b) When the Federal Government has organized a referendum which must take place within three years from the time it received the concerned council's decision for secession;
(c) When the demand for secession is supported by majority vote in the referendum;
(d) When the Federal Government will have transferred its powers to the council of the Nation, Nationality or People who has voted to secede; and
(e) When the division of assets is effected in a manner prescribed by law.
http://www.oefre.unibe.ch/law/icl/et00000_.html

Moreover, OLF or ONLF do not have a single seat in their respective regional government. So, you are talking trash trying to create hysteria.

To all the participants of the Forum,

I confirm that the letter is true. It is being drafted by TPLF Cadres, because they are doing pee pee in their pans.

Things are going worse and worse; this is their last attempt (very pitiful one might say) to stay in power.

AFD can no longer pretend it is working for Ethiopia. From inception we knew what it stands for and now that is become crystal clear. The LFs and Shaabia can bring nothing good for Ethiopia learned lesson from TPLF and EPLF. Now remaining LFs get together and form alliance with a couple of trojan horses to carry them to AA and dismantle Ethiopia. No way! This is going to till the last man and last bullet fight. We can assure LFs their game is over. Instruction to kinijit is stand clear or you will be shocked together.

All of us who care for Ethiopia must try to get hold of this document. Ethiopia is under threat.

I don't want to kill KIL. As you can see KIL is killing itself, committing suicide. The moment it went on to sign off anti-Ethiopian alliance, it was very clear that its death was imminent. About "the man", Andargachew Tsige, I suggest you to read his testimony and also books.
This is the man who joined TPLF in 1970 when there plenty options to join Ethiopian political party, this is the man who worked for TPLF for more than half his life, this is the man who set up the so called "anti-red terror committee" for EPRDF and facilitated arrest and torture of innocent people who opposed to woyanne while promoting real red-terror perpetrators to high positions in the woyanne regime, this is the man who called up on the Amaharas to mind about their ethnic business and forget about Ethiopia, this is the man who forged anti-Ethiopian alliance with LFs and shaabia, this is the man who is killing KIL and prolonging the misery of our people, this is the man who is telling the world that woyanne’s treatment of prisoners is exceptionally good and the prisoners are able to make political decision, and this is the man who have a special mission to destroy Ethiopia. Reliable sources said the man have got the draft letter that is wriiten to wipeout Ethiopia from world map.

When the truth sinks in, you will be sorry, surely as you did when your "kinijit's Mandela" (Lidetu) turned out to be a double agent. KIL is swamped by woyanne agents. So, expose and get ride off them instead of accusing people like me who are expressing their concern.

The main objective of AFD is "to solve the problem of Ethiopian Empire". Their solution is disintegrating Ethiopia. Read political programs of member organizations, especially the LFs, which are dominant group in AFD. It is not different from EPRDF. AFD is EPRDF-2.

(1) Ask fellow Ethiopians at the UN to keep an eye on this matter and disclose to concerned citizens.

(2) The article written by Commander Asefa Seifu just a month ago and posted at: website does give certain conceret clue on what D-Befekadu is asking us now to search for. Please go to this website and look under the Heading: 'AFD and the current Disaster in Ethiopia.' Re: AFD’s Letter to United Nation: Article 39 in action

Dear Askale,

Thanks for the tips.

(1) When I look back on the whole lot in retrospective, I was seriously shocked to see how Andargachew Manipulated his way to creating and mastering AFD in less than 3 months period since he arrived in London, and utilized the circumstance for his own individual ambition of doing business with Essayas Afeworki. I even have my suspicions that he must have had some clandestine links with Essayas Afeworki – the poisonous serpent and mother of all troubles inside Ethiopia.

(2) Obviously Andargachew had the divisive cards at his disposal since long when he was together with Essayas and Meles in the hay days of the 1980s. Each of them was looking the right time when to pull these cards from their portfolio and put them on the table for a political game.

(3) When the EPRDF came to power in 1991, Andargachew was the first mayor of Addis Ababa for a brief period of time. He resigned over policy disagreements with the TPLF leaders, the main party in the EPRDF coalition. He was a member of Tamrat Layne's Ethiopian People's Democratic Movement (EPDM) that initially spited from EPRP taking some 120 members away, which later changed its name to Amhara People Democratic Movement (APDM), to go along with Meles Zenawi's ethnic apartheid agenda.

That being the case how on earth could the CUD-supportive Ethiopians in Diaspora and Ato Hailu Shawul in particular accept such a dangerous fellow to take the leadership position of his own creation – namely AFD on behalf of CUD? It is totally absurd to speak of.

Now by the mere fact this man has gone as an AFD-leader and joined hand with the common enemies of the incumbent government and the non-tribalism political groups inside Ethiopia (EPLF, OLF, ONLF, EPPF), who are all nothing but boot-lickers of Essayas Afeworki, he has put CUD leaders in Kalleti in a dangerous position of being branded and accused for treason, and other serious accusations, unless some actions is quickly taken to save the situation.

This being the case, it is sad that we still have so many blind supporters of AFD among us. These persons simply support AFD out of sheer sentiment. Certainly majority AFD-supporters are floaters who have no or some ideological background on the whole lot and yet blow their horn, applaud with amusement blow still with the wind and maintaining their noise all around. If sympathy and support comes from the OLF-ONLF-EPPF camps to AFD, I can understand. But when it comes from CUD's own supporters, I am bewildered and tormented to say the least. It must be either shortage of information or proper understanding of the whole political game going on in front of our eyes. At the end of the day, sentimental Hoya Hoye cannot save our nation from AFD’s divisive agenda that attempts to create 3 mini republics in place of Ethiopia. We have seen Yugoslavia being split into six parts, a country that has structurally similar socio-political artifacts. I would not be surprised if it happens to Ethiopia. We have to understand what is going to be given on our plates pretty soon. Therefore the country’s crisis really needs urgent efforts to put things move in the pathway we see it as justifiable and rational. Time goes and we have to catch up as fast as possible. Life goes and life goes by. So we must use the time effectively and efficiently than to lament in trauma later after things have already happened. We must also be aware of that things are being cooked behind closed doors so we must stop smelling what others cook and start to cook ours too in order to prepare ourselves for the inevitable competition or combat.

Cheers,

Aleme Agere.

Re: AFD’s Letter to United Nation: Article 39 in action

At the early hay days of 1991, when they were enjoying their honeymoon of sitting on power, Essayas and Meles have jointly stubbed Ethiopia's nationhood by forcibly imposing their wish on parliament to pass Article 39 - on self-determination. This article does open a leeway for any ethnic group claiming Secession. It is possible to apply this legal framework and request the UN to approve but it is not that easy to simply forward such a national issue to the UN and get approval so lightly from it. Pre-conditions have to be fulfilled first before sending in such a request.

Re: AFD’s Letter to United Nation: Article 39 in action

Dear all,

Actually who is Andargachew Tsege?

Andagachew Tsege was born in 1955 in Addis Ababa. After successfully completing his elementary and junior education at the former Asfawosen Junior High School, he joined Teferi Mekonnen High School in 1968. By 1972 Andargachew enrolled into the then Haile Selasse University and studied there until 1975. As any other youth of his era he stood against the Communist Dergue regime and joined the EPRP. When his life was at risk, he fled Ethiopia into exile first into the Sudan and later to the United Kingdom.

When the EPRDF came to power in 1991, Andargachew was the first mayor of Addis Ababa for a brief period of time. He resigned over policy disagreements with the TPLF leaders. While with EPRDF, he was a member of Tamrat Layne's Ethiopian People's Democratic Movement (EPDM) that initially split from EPRP by taking some 120 members away, which later changed its name to Amhara People Democratic Movement (APDM), to go along with Meles Zenawi's ethnic apartheid agenda. While working with the incumbent government, Andargachew had the benefit of observing the dangerous nature of the current regime by joining their ranks for the first three years of the EPRDF power. Indeed, Andargachew was clearly following the political environment in which by early hay days of the 1991, when Essayas and Meles were enjoying their honeymoon of sitting on power, they stubbed Ethiopia's nationhood by forcibly imposing their wish on parliament to pass Article 39 - on self-determination. This action was taken not only considering the immediate separation of Eritrea by 1993, but also preparing the ground for other nationalities to move in the same direction and eventually delete Ethiopia as a national state.

On a serious note, Article 39 does open a space for claiming legal Secession at the UN to get approved. But it is not that easy to simply forward such a national issue to the UN and get immediate approval. Pre-conditions need to be fulfilled first. According to what has been charted at www.oefre.unibe.ch/law/icl/et00000_.html, the major steps to follow are indicated below: Before requesting U.N. recognition for the right to self-determination, including secession, of every Nation, Nationality and People shall come into effect when:
1. A demand for secession has been approved by a two-thirds majority of the members of the Legislative Council of the Nation, Nationality or People concerned.
2. The Federal Government has organized a referendum which must take place within three years from the time it received the concerned council's decision for secession.
3. The demand for secession is supported by majority vote in the referendum.
4. When the Federal Government will have transferred its powers to the council of the Nation, Nationality or People who has voted to secede.
5. The division of assets is effected in a manner prescribed by law.

In 1994, once again, Andargachew was forced to become an exile. During this period he wrote lots of articles and books on Ethiopian politics. Especially his recent work entitled "Nesanten Yemayouk Nesaouch" was the most acclaimed.

Andargachew Tsege left London for Ethiopia in April 2005 to take part in the electoral process. Whilst there he volunteered to help the Coalition for Unity and Democracy (CUD) in their campaign activities for the third general election. Subsequently, on the 8th of June 2005 he was detained from his family home along with several thousand members and supporters of the opposition parties.
It seems the book "Nesanten Yemayouk Nesaouch" and his help for CUD (which won large number of seat in both in urban and rural constituencies) earned him the enmity of the ruling party.

According to a report disclosed in Reporter website in March 2006, Andargachew Tsege and Kassa Kebede went and stayed in Asmara where they had lengthy meetings with EPLF senior government officials. One can read the actual report at www.ethiopianreporter.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=3681

Thus, given the fact that:
1. Andargachew’s recent-past intimate relation with Meles Zenawi and Essayas Afeworki;
2. Andargachew’s track record of blowing with the wind every decade or so; 70s = EPRP, 80s = TPLF, 90s = EPDRF and Now = 00s = Kinijit (CUD);
3. Andargachew’s constant vacillation on major political issues; and,
4. Andargachew’s inconsistent, unprincipled political stance of the recent past leading AFD.

How much trust followers of Kinijit (CUD) should bestow upon Andargachew and his leadership? Such questions have been asked a lot of times. However, Andargachew refuses to give clean and straightforward answers to such questions with valid explanation to issues in concern.

An article written by Commander Asefa Seifu just a month ago and posted at: the website www.ethiogermany.de/news.htm does give you certain concrete clue on AFD and its mission. Please go to this website and look under the Heading: 'AFD and the current Disaster in Ethiopia.' When you click on that title, it takes you to the article titled: By Commander Assefa Seifu - Sept.20, 2006 - THE SO CALLED ALLIANCE FOR FREEDOM & DEMOCRACY THE CURRENT DISASTER OF ETHIOPIA. Another article written by Ambassador Imiru Zelleke also hinted at the same thing in his famous article on AFD. This article was posted by Ethiopian Review (ER) sometime in July or August 2006. Obviously Andargachew had knowledge of the divisive cards at his disposal since long when he was together with Essayas and Meles in the hay days of the mid-1980s.

Meanwhile, it is sad that we still have so many blind supporters of AFD among us. These persons simply support AFD out of sheer sentiment. Certainly majority AFD-supporters are floaters who have no or some ideological background on the whole lot and yet blow their horn, applaud with amusement blow still with the wind and maintaining their noise all around. It must be either shortage of information or proper understanding of the whole political game that put us in a check position. At the end of the day, sentimental reaction will not save Ethiopia from the age old divisive mission of Essayas Afeworki orchestrated currently by AFD. The attempt to eventually create 3 mini republics in place of Ethiopia is a serious political ploy that deserves immediate attention of Ethiopians and those concerned for Ethiopia. We have seen Yugoslavia being split into six parts, a country that has structurally similar socio-political artifacts. I would not be surprised if it happens to Ethiopia. We have to understand the situation that what is going to be served on our plates pretty soon is not a nice sounding party dinner. The country’s current crisis really needs urgent efforts to put things in order and move in the pathway that leads to building a democratic Ethiopia indivisible under the God-of-us-all. Time goes and we have to catch up with it as fast as possible. Likewise life goes and life goes by. So we must use the time effectively and efficiently than to lament in trauma. Long live OSWAKO
Ethiopia for all.

Dear Nejib,

This is something new and interesting to some of us who have not had access to OSWAKO. Can you please write some more or give us guidance how to source the materials on OSWAKO? I look forward to hear from you soon.

Re: AFD’s Letter to United Nation: Article 39 in action

Interview with Dr Almaz: http://kinijit.org/content.asp?contentid=2032 and article by Dr Assefa Negash: http://mahder.com/pdf/Unmaking_of_Kinijit.pdf are latest evidence pointing at anti-Ethiopian activities of Ato Andargachew Tsige and his colleagues. The two Drs, Almaz and Assefa, who were heavily involved in kinijit’s movement, have provided the Ethiopian people with very important information about those individuals. Ato Andargachew and Ato Berhane are with mission on behalf of shaabia/woyanne.

We need to encourage more people, especially from kinijit circle, who have this type of information to expose those evil individuals. In regards to the draft letter, I am sure someone from kinijit itself or EPPF would act like Dr Assefa and Dr Almaz, and expose Andargachew Tsige other with similar mission. The draft letter is in his hand. It is unlikely that he would make it public in his own interest, because his interest is anti-Ethiopian. So, we should not expect that he would act in the interest of Ethiopia. Someone from AFD especially, EPPF personnel, may have access or at least could have first hand information about the letter. Any one who is inner member of EPPF or close to inner members could be able to tell to us fact about the letter.

Re: AFD’s Letter to United Nation: Article 39 in action

We need to Rethink about Ethiopian sovereignty

One of the certain ways to escalate a conflict within a state is to set in motion a zero-sum dynamic counterposing (state) 'sovereignty' to (minority) 'self-determination'. In fact, the second notion is a derivative of the first: secessionist groups seek to establish a sovereign state ruled by 'their own'—the The Amhara Tigre on the one side and he Somali-Oromo on the other is a classic instance. This sovereigntist paradigm may be described as the billiard-ball conception of the world: it is an order based on internally homogeneous states, which have impermeable boundaries, and whose character is utterly unaffected by any relations established between them. And one of the first steps to tackling ethnonationalist divisions is a reappraisal of the idea of sovereignty.

Rethinking sovereignty takes place at two levels—the sub-state and the intergovernmental. As to the former, moves towards regional/national devolution/autonomy, under the banner of 'subsidiarity', make possible a revisiting of the possibility of multi-national states, apparently discredited in the past because of their pre-WWI associations with the empires and kingdoms.

A case in point is Eritrea, where, Aforki argues that there is a clear contrast between the fundamentalist Amhara-Agame connections and the autonomist Convergence and Unity of ethnic groups wthin Eritrea.

The relevance of Eritrean nationalism stems from the assumption that it is possible for a nation to live and develop within a multinational state if this state is genuinely democratic and allows enough space for its nations to feel represented and cultivate their difference. This is an innovative conception which could contribute to the resolution of nationalism in some areas, particularly since it seems politically unviable to suddenly multiple the number of states covering the world.

Some facts about OSWAKO!

OSWAKO was born in Ambo. The organizers believe that people living in Wollega, Keffa, Shoa and Arsi are more mixed with tribes who are living around that area. In these area original Oromos, who are not mixed with blood with any tribe, are believed very few in number. Becuase of that there is an interset and obligation to live with all as an Ethiopian.

OSWAKO is not fully engage in politics. They want to educate people especially who are living in that area that they are Oromo+something.

OSWAKO's idea is now accepted by many in Wollega, Ambo, Addis and Arsi. Since the organization is new you may not here more about it. But the idea is circulating among Oromos.

Re: AFD’s Letter to United Nation: Article 39 in action

On another topic of discussion in this Forum (ER Forum) Giiftii Oromiyaa quoted what once Leenco Lataa stated in his interview with the Ethiopian Review magazine (in 1992?):

"Ethiophia kaltelewetech, titefalech".

I asked her to reply to the following questions, which are of course open to anyone to respond as well:

Who is Leenco Lataa after all? In my observation he is a man in identity crisis who changed his actual name from Yohannes to Leenco. He is infantile in his mental maturity as a reason of which - OLF - his own founding, has denounced him from his chairmanship.

When Leenco Lataa said: "Ethiophia kaltelewetech, titefalech", what has he been contributing to change the situation among the Oromo? Yes, the sooner he came to share power with TPLF in 1990 he started a big project of committing massacre of innocent Ethiopians in rural Ethiopia - Arba-Gugugu, Assossa to name a couple only. When he was asked to stop the genocide he asked Meles to pay his air ticket to leave Ethiopia. Accordingly he was given a return ticket and left Ethiopia (mind you not through Bale but with a paid air ticket given to him through Bole). So what is so big deal about this man who is going through mental instability that Giiftii tells us to follow his principle and destroy Ethiopia if Ethiopia does not change and become new? How can Ethiopia turn itself from an old to a new country unless we who live in Ethiopia aspire to change her? Does Giiftii really want to see a changed new Ethiopia? In that case what does she contribute towards the change she aspires to see?

Once President John F. Kennedy said in his famous speech to the American people: "Don't ask what your country can do to you; but ask what you can do to your country." Accordingly, Giiftii and other OLFits must start to share and try to see what the can do to Ethiopia than blaming others for this and those lame reasons based on pure hate and wish to see Ethiopia dismantled all together. OLFits must stop to expect, like Leenco Lataa did from his Minnesota castle, others to do the change in Ethiopia and attract him home at a later date. If he, Giiftii and other OLFits feel that they are part of that society, then it is time for them to open their hearts and mind to contribute towards its change than to remain caught up with heavy hate and expect others to change the country for them. If OLFits don't want to be part of the change, then they must wash their hands and decided not to do anything but wait and see what others are doing. Ethiopia has no population problem; nor shortage of Ethiopian nationals of Oromo origin. If OLFits are thinking to return home only when it suits to their mediocre tastes, then it is better to remain where they are and live their private lives than to stir havoc and call Ethiopia a step-mother. That is disrespect to one's own nation and vulgar language to speak of the truth.

How much energy is spent to discredit AFD it is amazing. I fully trust and beleive in CUD leaders and what they perscribe for Ethiopia. When it comes to Ethiopiawinet I trust them than TPLF or all those hodam PDOs. EPRP can serve Ethiopia better if it spend the energy on fighting TPLF than convicing us about AFD.

Dear all,

Is there any way that we can bring AFD-NA to court for its attempt to dissolve and tople CUD-NA?
