Meeting is called to order by facilitator Lauren Kevin did “2 Truths and a Lie” as our icebreaker Fundraiser update Cold Stone Creamery only does fundraisers September through May Cold Stone is out for the time being Lauren will call Tune and Lube if Ann cannot Alyssa will call Friendly’s Kate will email everyone about Cold Stone to follow up Next meeting: Monday June 5, 2006; 6:00-7:30 p.m. Alyssa will ask Grippo’s in Durham about Car Wash Lauren will find out about a Japanese parking lot that closed down for possible use Car Wash Potential Dates: July 8th and July 15th Decide to use DREAM Team mission statement for Car Wash purposes What to do with Money: Diane was supposed to be looking into Ropes Course for possible team building exercise Drew suggests service projects involving Prevention Lauren suggests getting a speaker as a fundraiser with the money Charge admission to see speaker Serve Pizza Attendance Issues Discussed Possible tie in with Health Curriculum at county schools Jill brings up that her sister had written a play which was well attended Controversial Issues will bring people out Lauren suggests Family Fun Day Kate suggests having a “Fun Meeting” in June and spend some time brainstorming goals for upcoming year Group is in general agreement Will decide on date for fun meeting at June 5th Meeting; Should be a celebration for seniors Lauren suggests having it on a Sunday Kate thinks we should have it after school is out Donna offers to have a BBQ at her house Alyssa brings up Fall Youth Conference Next Meeting will plan the Car Wash Strategies to improve attendance: Coffee House or other fun event Bring a friend Fall Youth Leadership Conference Group decides to continue meeting through the summer Possible phone tree for better communication is discussed Tolerance Workshop: Wednesday May 24th Spring Council Meeting: June 23rd 7:30-9:30 a.m. Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cromwell Meeting at 8:15 Decide to have special meeting next January for returning alumni Bring $5 for t-shirts at next meeting Meeting is adjourned |
